10Y Real Yields: China, Poland and Turkey at the Bottom of the League

  • The chart below ranks the 10Y real yields among the most liquid EM economies, adjusted by CPI inflation.
  • China remains at the bottom of the League following the surge in PPI inflation in the past few months, currently offering a 10Y real yield of -6.2%.
  • Poland and Turkey have the second and third lowest 10Y real yields among the EM world (-3.5% and -2.9%, respectively) as inflationary pressures continue to grow in both countries.
  • August CPI inflation came in higher than expected in Poland and Turkey, up 5.4% YoY and 19.25% YoY, respectively (vs. 5.1% and 18.75% exp.).
  • At the top, South Africa and Indonesia currently offer the highest 10Y real yield (+4.5%).
