KOREA RATES

South Korean MOF will today sell KRW 800bn 2-Year bonds issue KTB 01250-2309, results due after 0330BST/1030KST.

  • The MOF last sold 2-Year debt on September 7, the sale drew a yield of 1.320% and was covered 2.769x. The BoK kept rates on hold yesterday but the decision had two dissenters and BoK Governor Lee indicated that the November meeting was live for a hike, but did leave wiggle room saying that any hikes would depend on economic conditions and the course of the pandemic.
  • Note the BOK will also sell KRW 1.2tn 1-Year MSB's today, results due after 0230BST/0930KST.
