BOND SUMMARY: A quiet start to the Asia-Pac session, with T-Notes holding a
tight range as participants assess Sino-U.S. tensions. The contract trades -0-01
at 139-14+, with yields edging marginally lower in cash trade. Eurodollar
futures last seen -0.5 to +0.5 tick through the reds.
- JGB futures re-opened on the front foot, attacking the upper bound of a
channel drawn off Jul 2 low. The contract quickly lost altitude and now trades
at 152.42, 7 ticks north of settlement. Yields sit lower in cash trade, with 5s
outperforming. The BoJ left all purchase sizes unchanged during today's 1-10
Year Rinban ops.
- In Australia, YM +0.5 & XM +0.5. Yields sit slightly lower across the cash
curve, save for 2s. Bills trade unch. to -1 tick through the reds. The AOFM
auctioned A$1.0bn worth of ACGB 1.50% 21 Jun 2031, concluding this week's ACGB
supply. Focus moves to their weekly issuance schedule, with Victoria's
coronavirus situation also continuously watched.
