BOND SUMMARY: A very limited Asia-Pac session for Tsys, with the now familiar
rumours re: the U.S. administration looking at banning TikTok front and centre.
T-Notes -0-01+ at 139-14 last, with a 0-02+ range intact. Yields virtually
unchanged across the cash curve.
- JGB futures last +7 ticks above settlement levels, but failed to re-challenge
the early Tokyo highs, after the pullback highlighted in the earlier bullet.
Tokyo Governor Koike has pointed to similar a uptick in the city's COVID-19
cases when compared to yesterday. A quick look at the breakdown of the BoJ's
1-10 Year Rinban ops, which saw the Bank leave its purchase sizes at steady
levels. The 1-3 Year ops saw a slight uptick in the offer/cover ratio and
widening of spreads, the 3-5 Year ops saw a steady offer/cover and marginal
widening of spreads and the 5-10 Year ops saw an uptick in offer/cover and
steady spreads.
- A very dull session for Aussie bonds, YM unch., XM +0.5. The latest ACGB '31
auction passed smoothly, while the AOFM's weekly issuance schedule held no
surprises.
