US TSYS: A very limited re-open for T-Notes, last dealing +0-01 at 127-06+,
after the contract ground higher during EU/NY hours on Monday, reversing the
Asia-Pac session losses and a little more. Chinese GDP & economic activity data
had applied the pressure early on. Early activity was limited by the Japanese
holiday, which meant that cash markets were closed until the start of London
trade. The curve ultimately bull flattened on the day.
- Block buys in TUU9, TYU9 & UXYU9 helped the upward momentum.
- The data slate was thin, Empire manufacturing topped exp., while Fed's
Williams addressed matters pertaining to LIBOR reform.
- The docket picks up on Tuesday, with retail sales data headlining, while
Fedspeak will come from Powell, Bowman, Evans, Bostic & Kaplan.
