FOREX: ABC sources have suggested that US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin urged Trump

to exempt Canada from steel and aluminium tariffs. USDCAD fell 30 pips to a low

of 1.2940, last at 1.2945, while the likes of AUD & NZD also saw some modest and

very limited appreciation vs. USD. Elsewhere USDMXN is around 150 pips lower on

the story.

- The follow through was perhaps limited as the piece noted that not all of the

advisers present, including trade hawk Peter Navarro, were in agreement,

according to two sources familiar with the conversations. They say the group has

been known to harbor ideological differences on major economic issues and the
