American Invenergy Eyes 81MW of Scottish Wind

American-based firm Invenergy has moved closer to commissioning an 81MW onshore wind farm in Scotland in early 2026, after having entered into a supply agreement with Vestas, according to the turbine supplier.

  • Vestas will begin turbine deliveries in the 2Q 2025, with a multi-year service agreement also included in the contract.
  • The unit will be powered by 18 4.5MW turbines, with Vestas in charge of the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines.
  • Scotland is targeting 20GW of onshore wind by 2030- more than double Scotland’s current operational capacity of 9.3GW in 2023, according to Scottish renewables.
