Another whopping 361 pips range in USDJPY overnight

  • A mixed start for the Dollar against G10, NZD was and is still is the best performer, following the New Zealand Employment which beat consensus across the board, pushing some Investors to dial back on earlier easing risks.
  • NZDUSD sees resistance at the 0.6037 area, but has so far faded off its 0.6018 printed high.
  • Main focus in FX has again been on another very volatile Yen session, a whopping 361 pips range, following Dovish comment overnight from BoJ Uchida putting cold water on potential rate hikes when markets are unstable, noting the wild Equities and FX moves.
  • Going into the European session the Yen has managed to claw back some 100 pips against the Dollar, back below 147.00 at the time of typing, from a 147.90 high.
