area. The recent doji and bullish engulfing candle patterns have seen to form a
potential base with bulls looking for a close above $0.6800 to cement the move.
Above here opens the 50% retracement level of the Jul-Aug fall at $0.6880.
AUDUSD last $0.6748.
- US CPI due out at the bottom of the hour. CPI is expected to rise by 0.3% in
July after a 0.1% gain in the previous month. Gasoline prices are expected to
rebound slightly, as suggested by the monthly AAA data and the gasoline reading
in the PPI report. Food prices are expected to tick higher after posting a flat
reading in June. The core CPI is forecast to rise only 0.2% following a 0.3%
jump in the previous month.
