AUSSIE: AUD/USD last deals at $0.7185, virtually unchanged on the day, ahead of
the release of Aussie retail sales at 0030GMT/1130AEDT.
- The pair added 15 pips yesterday as AUD landed at the top of the G10 pile,
having recovered from initial weakness noted on the back of lack of decisive
breakthrough in Sino-U.S. trade talks, as USD/CNH broke comfortably below
CNH6.8000.
- Bulls need a break above yesterday's high of $0.7198, which would open up the
upper Bollinger band (2%) at $0.7220. On the downside, bears initially look for
a breach of yesterday's low of $0.7146, while the next layer of support below is
provided by the Jan 9 low of $0.7135.
