AUSSIE
AUSSIE: AUD/USD shed 10 pips overnight and last deals at $0.7158, registering a
low of $0.7150, as global trade tensions linked to China's Huawei & ZTE weighed
on the Aussie. Elsewhere, AUD saw muted reaction to a smaller than exp. decline
in home loans.
- The downside focus falls on the Jan 10/Jan 9 low at $0.7146/35 and a fall
below would give bears the green light for challenging the Jan 8 low of $0.7117.
On the topside, initial attention is drawn by the 50-DMA/55-DMA at $0.7183/88
and a break above would open up the $0.7200 figure.
- Broader risk appetite, particularly matters centring on China, will likely
drive AUD for the remainder of the week, with the local focus now moving to the
AU labour market report due in one week's time.
