AUSSIE: AUD/USD sheds its earlier gains as Australia reports that its retail
sales fell 0.3% M/M in January vs. expectations of a flat reading. The prior
reading was revised lower, to -0.7% from -0.5%. The ABS pointed to "a range of
impacts" of bushfires "across a variety of industries." The rate sits at
$0.6613, virtually unchanged on the day.
- A familiar technical picture remains in play after the highlighted trendline
resistance at $0.6624 capped gains earlier on.
