AUSSIE: Aussie opened in Asia at $0.7865 toward the upper side of yesterday's
$0.7830 to $0.7875 range, where despite strong US data, non-manufacturing
activity (ISM) surged to the highest level since August 2005, the dollar was
broadly unchanged on the day. Locally, August Retail Sales and Trade Balance
data provide the event risks for the session, MNI's estimates retail sales to
rise 0.2% from flat last, and the trade balance at A$800mn, up from A$460mn in
July. Hourly support is located at $0.7838, while initial resistance lies at
$0.7875 (Oct4 high), a break opens $0.7889 (Sep27 high).
