ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has inched higher, last trades +9 pips at Y74.98. A marginal
uptick in e-minis may have pushed the pair a handful of pips higher, as there
has been little of note on the wires so far.
- A break above Jul 6 high of Y75.16 would allow bulls to set their sights on
Jun 8 high of Y76.79, the key near-term topside target. Bears need a fall
through trendline support at Y74.33 & Jul 1 low of Y73.92 before targeting Jun
24 - 29 lows located in the Y73.35-31 area.
- Japanese core machine orders (due shortly) & flash machine tool orders,
Australian housing finance data and Chinese inflation figures will be watched
today.
