ASIAN MARKETS, AUSSIE-YEN
AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY stuck to a tight range during the Asia-Pac session and only
now slid towards yesterday's low, threatening to breach the level. JPY lost
ground into the Tokyo fix, but has recouped some losses since, while AUD was
limited by local coronavirus situation. The pair trades at Y74.60, 9 pips lower
on the day.
- Bears need a fall through trendline support at Y74.21 & Jul 1 low of Y73.92
before targeting Jun 24 - 29 lows located in the Y73.35-31 area. Bulls hope that
the recent "golden cross" formation heralds the resumption of a broader uptrend.
They look for gains past Jul 6 high of Y75.16, which would expose a key
near-term resistance, defined at Jun 8 high of Y76.79.
