Australia’s Weekly LNG Exports Edged Down

Australia’s weekly LNG exports fell by 7.53% on the week to 1.35mn tons in the week starting 4 September, BNEF data show.

  • Chevron’s Gorgon plant shipped out four cargoes, in line with the seasonal average, but down from five loadings for the last five consecutive weeks. It is unclear if the drop is linked to the partial strikes that started on 8 September. Output from Chevron’s Wheatstone project remained unchanged at three cargoes.
  • Year-to-date LNG shipments out of Australia stood at 55.73mn tons, accounting for 19.73% of global exports so far this year.
