Average Gross Wages Rise 13.9% Y/Y in November

  • Hungary’s average gross wages rose 13.9% y/y (Est: +13.9%) in November versus +13.9% in October, according to the Central Statistical Office. Month-on-month, wages rose 10.4% compared to +1.2% the month prior.
  • Hungary will remain uninvolved in weapons deliveries to Ukraine but will not block other EU member states from sending them, MTI report Foreign Minister Szijjarto as saying in Brussels. The minister added that the government refused to bear any financial burdens of the arms supplies.
  • There are no other major economic releases scheduled for today, with just Friday’s unemployment rate data left on the local slate this week.
