BanRep Survey of Economists, Petro Cancels Davos Trip

Data on industrial production, manufacturing production and retail sales will be published on Wednesday and will be followed on Thursday by Economic activity data for November.
  • President Petro declared a state of natural emergency after a landslide on Friday on the highway that connects Medellín with Quibdó, where at least 36 people have died, according to the latest data.
  • Petro canceled his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, scheduled for this week, after the inauguration of Guatemalan President Bernardo Arévalo on Sunday was delayed, according to reports from local media. - BBG
