SOUTH KOREA: BBG has covered some comments from the Bank of Korea's statistical
office in the last little while:
- Weakening global demand likely to be seen in national export data during Q2.
- COVID-19 likely provided a ~2ppt hit to household spending during Q1.
- The Korean economy may still grow during 2020, if COVID-19 is controlled
abroad.
- A boost in online activity may support chip exports, and in turn Korean GDP.
