Biden, Blinken, Austin, Others Hit By Kremlin Sanctions

The Russian gov't has announced that US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III, among others, have been placed under sanctions.

  • Statement reads that the sanctions come “In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions,”. Russia's state-run RIA reports: "The ministry emphasized that such a decision is a counter reaction to the Russophobic course of the current US leadership, which is desperately trying to maintain American hegemony."
  • Full list of those sanctioned: Joseph Biden ; Anthony Blinken - US Secretary of State, Lloyd Austin - US Secretary of Defense; Mark Milley - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Jacob Sullivan - Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security; William Burns - Director of the CIA; Jennifer Psaki - White House Press Secretary; Duleep Singh - Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security; Samantha Power - Director of the Agency for International Development; Hunter Biden - son of the President of the United States; Hillary Clinton - former US presidential candidate; Adewail Adeyemo - First Deputy Minister of Finance; Reta Jo Lewis is President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank.
