Axios reports that US President Joe Biden is expected to call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today to discuss the contentious judicial overhaul, key parts of which are reaching critical stages in the Knesset.

  • By contrast, President Isaac Herzog was granted a visit to the White House and will meet Biden tomorrow. Herzog will then deliver an address to the joint session of Congress on Wednesday.
  • The coalition resumed legislative work on its judicial overhaul as talks with the opposition collapsed. In his first public comments since being released from hospital yesterday, Netanyahu lashed out at IDF reservists protesting against the reforms.
