Bilboa Refinery Set to Restart V3 Vacuum Unit on June 10

The 220kbpd Bilbao oil refinery in northern Spain is set to restart the V3 vacuum distillation unit on June 10, according to an online statement from operator Petronor.

  • The unit was halted with the start of maintenance at the refinery on May 16. The shutdown and startup of units undergoing work was said to be carried out sequentially. The duration of individual halts was not specified.
  • The refinery works were previously estimated until the second half of July.
  • The works will be focusing on the plant’s conversion area in order to continue improving safety and incorporating innovations to improve efficiency and reduce emissions, said an online statement.
