Brexit amendments the UK government could face...>

UK
UK: Brexit amendments the UK government could face this Thursday include:
-Starmer amendment: Labour front bench amendment that would force government to
bring back a 'meaningful vote' on May's Brexit deal by the end of February. Very
unlikely to pass.
-Boles/Cooper amendment: Would wrest control of the Brexit process from PM May,
extending Article 50 if no option passes parliament, thereby preventing a 'no
deal' Brexit. Unlikely to pass.
-Kyle/Wilson People's Vote amendment: Would call for another referendum on EU
membership in return for backing May's withdrawal agreement. Very unlikely to
pass.
These set the stage for the more important face off in parliament due February
27th, where the government have vowed to allow more amendments to be tabled,
which grants PM May and her team more time to negotiate with Brussels on further
concessions.
