Brunsbüttel LNG Pipeline to Start Up In February

A pipeline connected to Germany’s 3.5bcm/yr Brunsbüttel LNG terminal is likely to start up in February, as final repairs at the alleged sabotage attempt at the 55-kilometer LNG pipeline running from Brunsbüttel to Hetlingen will start in the coming days, pipeline operator Gasunie’s spokesman Philipp von Bergmann-Korn said.

  • If weather permits it, final repairs should begin in the coming days and the last section of the pipeline would be installed, he said.
  • The pipeline was scheduled to come online end-2023 and will be connected to the Brunsbüttel LNG terminal.
