ARGENTINA
  • At his meeting with IMF Managing Director Georgieva at Davos last week, President Milei reiterated his commitment to reducing inflation and eliminating the country’s fiscal deficit. According to Bloomberg, analysts expect a c.3% of GDP fiscal deficit this year, after an expected 5% of GDP shortfall in 2023. Later in the week, Argentina will also publish economic activity data on Tuesday, which are expected to show a -0.7% y/y contraction in activity in November, vs. +0.6% previously.
