Central America Braces For Second Deadly Hurricane In Weeks

Hurricane Iota has strengthened into a Category Four Hurricane according the NHC.

  • The Hurricane is expected to make landfall in North-eastern Nicaragua tonight and could potentially turn into a Category 5 as it approaches the coast.
  • Catastrophic winds, torrential rainfall and life-threatening storm surge are expected along parts of the Nicaraguan coast and eastern Honduras.
  • *This comes less than two weeks after Hurricane Eta caused devastation in similar parts of Central America. It's strength and path will be monitored closely.
