-CHINA: China Temporarily Bans Log Shipments From Victoria

AUSTRALIA

BBG notes that "China has banned log shipments from Australia's Victoria state from Nov. 11, according to a notice on the Australian agriculture department's website. China Customs announced the ban in a statement Wednesday and said will further strengthen the quarantine on log shipments from Australia. The temporary halt to exports comes after China barred shipments of logs from Queensland state on Oct. 31 after finding pests in cargoes."
