China Raises Gas Withdrawals To Meet Heating Demand: PipeChina

China has raised gas withdrawal levels close to maximum capacity to meet increased heating fuel demand from cold weather, according to PipeChina said.

  • Daily withdrawals from 11 underground storage sites linking to PipeChina’s networks rose to 140mcm by 5 Dec.
  • Total gas injections amount to 16bcm, capable to meet maximum of 180mcm/day withdrawal volumes
  • Storage operators have achieved injection targets for this year ahead of schedule.
