China's Big Cities Show Declining Need for Emergency Covid Care

The rate of Covid-19 cases in big cities has peaked, with the rate of people requiring emergency care showing signs of decline, and those needing intensive care plateauing, according to Jiao Yahui, Director of the Department of Medical Administration of the National Health Commission. For small and medium-sized cities, infections are now peaking, meaning cases requiring emergency treatment will be at their highest during the Spring Festival. Jiao’s comments were reported by CCTV News.
