China’s Refined Oil Exports Slip in June: OilChem

China’s exports of refined oil, including gasoil, and jet fuel totalled 2.80m mt in June, down 0.05m mt in May, according to OilChem.

  • Exports fell slightly amid poorer export profits. Gasoline export profits were down around 77.7% compared to May.
  • By comparison, China’s refined oil exports were planned at 3.60m mt in June, down 12.26% on May’s planned exports.
  • Refined oil product exports in July are planned at 3.25m mt, while actual exports are forecast at 3.2m-3.5m mt.
  • Gasoline export profits are expected to rebound slightly amidst the consumption peak in the US which will lift prices in Asia too. Domestic demand is also expected to rebound during summer travel season.
