Citi Survey Lowers Forecast For 2023 Year-End CPI To 4.55%

  • Citi published the results of its latest bi-weekly survey of analysts. 2023 year-end inflation forecast was revised lower to 4.55% from 4.60%, however, 2024 year-end CPI is still estimated at 4.00%. The first rate cut is still expected to be a 25bp move in March 2024.
  • On Wednesday - US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with Banxico Governor Victoria Rodriguez Ceja and take part in a roundtable discussion on illicit finance with Finance Minister Rogelio Ramirez de la O and banking leaders.
