COAL: Polish Coal Sales Up On Month, Down On Year

Poland's total hard coal sales reached 3.5 mn/t in August, edging up from 3.29 mn/t in the previous month but slightly lower than 3.56 mn/t in August 2023, according to ARP, cited by ISB news.

  • Hard coal production amounted to 3.45 mn/t in August–  a 5.5% drop compared to volumes in July and 10.7% lower on year.
  • Polish coal stocks at the end of August were at 5.54 mn/t compared to 5.64 mn/t in July and 3.8 mn/t a year earlier, ARP also reported.
  • Rotterdam Coal NOV 24 down 1.6% at 116.35 USD/MT
