ConstCourt Grants MFP Another Extension To Deadline For Submitting Defence Statement

THAILAND

The Constitutional Court extended the deadline for the main opposition Move Forward Party (MFP) to submit its statement in a case over the alleged breach of the country's lese-majeste laws, which could lead to the party's dissolution.

  • The MFP now has until May 18 rather than May 3 to submit its defence statement. The party had previously received two 15-day extensions, with the deadline moved to April 18 and then to May 3.
