CZK: Koruna Advances Further, Poised To Be Best EMEA Performer This Week

CZK

EUR/CZK keeps losing altitude despite the apparent absence of notable catalysts in Czechia, as the data docket is virtually empty towards the end of the week.

  • The pair deals -0.056 at 25.214, with bears looking for a dip through the 100-DMA at 25.071. Conversely, bulls see Feb 15 high of 25.519 as their initial target.
  • The koruna has outperformed all of its EMEA peers this week, adding 0.4% versus the euro. The forint, one of its CE3 peers, is in second place, but the zloty has lagged both by a significant margin.
  • The Finance Ministry will release its debt management report for 2Q2024, which will include information on the amount of national debt at the end of the first half of the year.
  • CZGB yields are mixed; the PX Index is a touch weaker after printing new multi-year highs yesterday.
