EUROZONE ISSUANCE

The EU, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and Ireland all look to issue this week. We pencil in gross nominal issuance of E27.7bln, down a little from last week’s E30.5bln.

  • The EU has issued a mandate to launch a new 7-year Dec-30 EU-bond via syndication with the transaction due to take place on Tuesday. We pencil in a transaction size of E5.0bln with upside risks of to a maximum to around E7.0bln.
  • Slovenia held an investor call on Thursday ahead of a 10-year USD benchmark syndicated transaction.
  • On Tuesday the Netherlands will look to kick off auctions for the week with E2.0-2.5bln of the 0% Jan-26 DSL (ISIN: NL0015000QL2) on offer.
  • Also Tuesday, Germany will look to sell on E5.5bln of the 3.10% Sep-25 Schatz (ISIN: DE000BU22023).
