BOND SUMMARY: /EGBs-GILTS: An unusually heavy day of European bond supply is
helping put the space under pressure early Tuesday.
- Issuance galore: auctions starting with Netherlands selling E1.0-2.0bln of
0.25% Jul-29 DSL (results after 0900UK); Germany selling E0.5bln of 0.10%
Apr-23/E0.25bln of 0.50% Apr-30 Bundei (results after 1030UK).
- On syndication front, EFSF selling dual-tranche for E3bln, while Italian 50-Yr
sale imminent. UK DMO selling 0.125% Aug-41 linker as well.
- Plenty of UK political intrigue Tuesday, with possible vote on 'Grieve
amendment' to stop the next prime minister from proroguing parliament in order
to push through No Deal Brexit. Gilts weaker from the start though.
- ECB's Visco, Villeroy & Lane appear later; minimal data flow, however.
- Euribor/Short Stg off 1-2 ticks. Latest bond futures prices:
* Sep Bund futures (RX) down 30 ticks at 173.21 (L: 173.11 / H: 173.46)
* Sep BTP futures (IK) down 17 ticks at 137.49 (L: 137.25 / H: 137.65)
* Sep OAT futures (OA) down 30 ticks at 165.58 (L: 165.46 / H: 165.86)
* Sep Gilt futures (G) down 22 ticks at 131.65 (L: 131.62 / H: 131.77)
