BONDS: /EGBs-GILTS CASH CLOSE: Bund and Gilt yields reversed from intraday lows
(which in some cases, like UK 5 Yr, were all time lows) as equities found their
feet. No real headline drivers, apart from some new positive Remdesevir test
data released by drugmaker Gilead at 1330BST which sparked the equity rally.
- Periphery EGBs found their footing and spreads came down from late morning -
one notable exception is Greece, as GGB spreads blew out.
- Italy ratings review by Fitch eyed after hours. Closing levels:
* Germany: The 2-Yr yield is down 1.1bps at -0.695%, 5-Yr is down 1.9bps at
-0.677%, 10-Yr is down 1bps at -0.473%, and 30-Yr is down 2.4bps at -0.058%.
* UK: The 2-Yr yield is down 2bps at -0.112%, 5-Yr is down 1.8bps at -0.078%,
10-Yr is down 0.9bps at 0.149%, and 30-Yr is down 1.2bps at 0.621%.
** 10-Yr Periphery EGB Spreads:
* Italian BTP spread up 0.4bps at 169.1bps
* Spanish bond spread up 0.7bps at 87.8bps
* Portuguese PGB spread up 0.4bps at 88.4bps
* Greek bond spread up 11.2bps at 167.3bps
