Thursday, with dovishness from Fed Chair Powell yesterday still reverberating.
- German and UK curves trading a bit stronger, bit of bull steepening.
- Short-Sterling and Euribor strips pretty flat, +/-1.5 ticks.
- ECB's Coeure will speak ahead of the release of ECB meeting account.
- Trans-Atlantic considerations could highlight the day. There will be talks
between German EconMin Altmaier & U.S. TR Lighthizer, and market focus will be
on U.S. inflation data and Powell's second day of testimony.
- Thin European data today; no impact from France/Germany final infl readings.
- This morning sees decent supply, with Italy selling 3-/7-Yr BTP and Ireland
selling 10-/15-yr IGB.
- Latest futures prices:
* Sep Bund futures (RX) up 5 ticks at 172.56 (L: 172.38 / H: 172.73)
* Sep BTP futures (IK) up 34 ticks at 138.12 (L: 137.74 / H: 138.21)
