ELECTRICITY: EU Greenlights Support For Polish Electricity Storage
ELECTRICITY
The European Commission has approved €1.2bn in support for Poland’s investments in electricity storage facilities, it said.
- The scheme was approved under the State aid Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework (‘TCTF').
- With the grants, Poland plans to install at least 5.4GWh of new electricity storage facilities and will help Poland to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.
- The scheme will support new storage systems with at least 4MWh of capacity.
