The latest EU ETS CAP3 EU auction cleared higher at €64/ton CO2e, compared with €63.56/ton CO2e in the previous session, according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio was at 1.66 compared to 1.64 on 19 Sept, above the five-year avg and within the five-year range.
  • There was a total of bids of 24 were done and 16 were successful from 22 with 18 successful bids in the previous auction.
  • The mean price was €69.55/t CO2e from €64.58/t CO2e, with the median value at €63.81/t CO2e compared to €63.33/t CO2e on 19 Sept.
  • EU ETS Dec24 has moved up following the auction result with gains in EU natural gas supporting.
  • EUA DEC 24 up 1.9% at 64.57 EUR/MT
