The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared lower at €63.19/ton CO2e, down from the previous auction of €65.69/ton CO2e and the lowest since 17 September, with the cover ratio falling to the lowest since 9 July according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio was at 1.27, below the seasonal minimum.
  • There was a total of 26 bids with 21 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €63.76/t CO2e and the median price was at €63.22/ton CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 has extended losses throughout the morning, mirroring the pullback in natural gas markets.
    • EUA DEC 24 down 2.8% at 63.73 EUR/MT
