The latest EU ETS CAP3 EU auction cleared lower at €63.88/ton CO2e, down from the previous auction at €63.91/ton CO2e and the lowest level in three sessions according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio was at 1.48, down from 1.62 and below the five-year minimum.
  • There was a total of 22 bids with 18 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €64.61/t CO2e and the median price was at €63.76/ton CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is edging lower today, closely tracking movements in EU natural gas, while losses are limited as the 30 September submission deadline may encourage some last-minute buying.
