The latest weekly German EUA CAP3 auction cleared at €67/ton CO2e, down from €70.07/ton CO2e in the previous auction, while the cover ratio rose above the five-year normal for the first time for any auction since end July according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio stood at 2.45, above the seasonal normal.
  • The mean price stood at €66.84/t CO2e and the median price was at €66.32/ton CO2e.
  • There was a total of 26 bids with 12 successful bidders.
  • The EU ETS Dec24 is trading higher today with support from natural gas markets, shrugging off weaker IP data out of Germany and France.
  • EUA DEC 24 up 1.9% at 67.49 EUR/MT
