EMISSIONS: Polish Carbon Permit Price Falls to Lowest Since Early April

The latest bi-weekly Polish Primary Market Auction (Phase 4 - CAP3) cleared lower at €64.75/ton CO2e, compared with €70.39/ton CO2e in the previous auction held on 28 August, and the lowest level since early April according to EEX.

  • The cover ratio was at 1.60, below the five-year average but within the five-year normal.
  • The mean price stood at €65.26/t CO2e and the median price at €64.53/t CO2e.
  • There were a total 26 bids with 18 successful bids.
  • EU ETS Dec 24 is trading higher today with gains in EU gas prices, despite more bearish EUA funds positioning.
    • EUA DEC 24 up 1% at 65.59 EUR/MT
