Eskom To Resume Loadshedding After Very Brief Pause

Eskom says in a fresh update that "Stage 3 loadsheddingwill resume at 16:00 today until 05:00 on Tuesday. Thereafter, Stage 1 loadshedding will be implemented until 16:00, followed by Stage 3 loadshedding until 05:00 on Wednesday. This pattern will be implemented daily until further notice." The utility adds that it "will publish another update should any significant changes occur."

• This comes after an update to the loadshedding schedule published only about an hour ago. In that previous update, Eskom announced that it was suspending loadshedding between 11:30 and 16:00 today, "due to an improved generation system, as well as full recovery in emergency generation reserves."
