CREDIT MACRO


  • Bund yields closing 3bp higher. Rates had a volatile session post CPI, selling off on the data before recovering and then yields rose again with firm risk on in global markets.
  • Stocks traded up with SX5E +1.1% with SPX +0.8%. Tech, Consumer and Financials were the best performing sectors.
  • IG Cash closes ~1.6bp tighter with risk on post CPI; spreads were unchanged before the number. Main/XO close 1.0/3.2 tighter.
  • Primary was light again with the CPI release. We had AALLN (dual), BACRED and BNG.
  • ELOFR had a volatile session post downgrade to HY; initially 10-30 wider but rallied back to close mixed, +4 to -5bp. EZJLN widened +10bp on the 8Y mandate announcement. Swedish real estate closing up to 15bp tighter.
  • In Financials DB (8-14bp), PBBGR and AARB (both 10-20bp) continue to lead the tightening. Financials outperformed overall with but SNR and SUB cash indices 3+bp tighter.
