EU Gas Maintenance: Norwegian Flows Rebound

NATURAL GAS

Norwegian natural gas supplies today rose to 283.5mcm/d and are further scheduled to rise in the next days, as Norwegian yearly maintenance is concluding.

  • Unavailable supplies from Norway are scheduled to decline to 44-53mcm/d for the remainder of this week.
  • The 125mcm/d Troll field has still not fully returned from maintenance. Additional works, limiting supply by 20mcm/d, have been scheduled for 3-4 Oct and for 4-5 Oct with 35mcm/d unavailable. Supply will be limited by 10mcm/d on 19 Sept to 9 Oct, by 29mcm/d on 9 Oct until 12 Oct, by 15mcm/d on 12-16 Oct and by 6mcm/d on 22-23 Oct.
  • The Karsto processing facility has extended works by one day until 6 Oct, limiting supply by 9.6mcm/d.
  • Maintenance at the Skarv field has been extended by two days until 5 Oct, limiting full supply of 22.1mcm/d. Supply will be cut by 17.4mcm/d on 5-6 Oct, by 12.4mcm/d on 6-7 Oct, by 9.4mcm/d on 7-8 Oct and by 3.4mcm/d on 8-9 Oct.
  • The maintenance at the Ormen Lange field has been extended by three days until 10 October, affecting 24.5mcm/d. Additional works have been scheduled for 10-11 Oct with 13.4mcm/d of unavailable capacity.
  • The ongoing repairs at the Kollsnes processing plant will reduce supplies by 11mcm/d until 16 Oct.
  • In the UK, unavailability at the St. Fergus terminal is as followed during annual maintenance:
  • 30.8mcm/d until 4 Oct, 30.8mcm/d on 4-11 Oct, 19.8mcm/d on 11-16 Oct, 10.8mcm/d unavailable on 16 Oct until 9 Nov, 30.8mcm/d on 19-20 Oct, 15.8mcm/d on 20 Oct until 1 Nov
  • The Barrow North terminal will have limited availability until 8 Oct.
  • Dragon LNG will have half-day works on Friday.
  • The Dutch Gate LNG terminal will have sendout cuts on Friday.
  • In France, the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal returned from maintenance on 2 Oct. The facility is currently restarting and sendout is scheduled to resume on 9 Oct. One tanker is currently heading to the terminal for 6 Oct arrival.
