EU Gas Maintenance: Norwegian Outage Extensions Weigh on Flows

Additional outage extensions at several gas fields and facilities in Norway further reduce gas flows to Europe in the coming days, Gassco remit data showed.

  • Pipeline natural gas flows from Norway to Europe fell today to 123.2mcm/d, the lowest level on record since at least 2015, down from around 136mcm/d yesterday. Unavailable capacity has been revised up to 207.9mcm/d on Friday, from previously 183.77mcm/d.
  • Works at the Troll field will limit output by 125mcm/d until 10 Sept. The outage, affecting 45mcm/d, has been extended by one day until 13 Sept.
  • The largest part of the Kollsnes outage has been extended by one day until 9 Sept, affecting 153mcm/d.
  • Works at Ormen Lange, limiting output by 24.5mcm/d, are scheduled to start on 11 Sept. The outage has been extended by two days until 2 Oct.
