EURO-YEN: EUR/JPY last trades at Y128.62 operating within a 30 pip range in
early Asia-Pac dealing.
- Yesterday, the pair edged higher on the back of improving risk appetite &
positive news on the Brexit front. The latter benefited the euro, as markets
absorbed promising source stories from the press suggesting the divorce deal is
close, but these were largely disregarded on later denials by EU & UK officials.
- EUR/USD's close above $1.1400 will add to bulls' convictions.
- Settling comfortably above the key Y128.00 level, bulls may challenge cloud
base resistance at Y129.02, which would open up the 38.2% retracement of the
recent downtrend at Y129.12. Meanwhile, initial bearish target falls on
yesterday's low of Y127.62. A break below would set a green light for testing
the psychological Y127.00 level.
