Europe To Receive More Diesel, Jet Fuel From Second Half of August

Europe is set for a “substantial influx” of diesel and jet fuel arrivals from East of Suez from the second half of August into September according to a Sparta Commodities analyst.

  • “The east/west spread will likely remain seasonally wide to facilitate East of Suez resupply for 4Q as Europe prepares for its first winter without Russian gasoil,” Sparta analyst James Noel-Beswick said.
  • “Around halfway through to the end of 4Q, this will likely reverse as the Singapore region grapples with its own resupply issues,” he added.
  • Brazil could increase shipments from the US Gulf, the Middle East and the west coast of India due to reduced flows from Russia amid turnarounds, he said.
  • Brazil has been ramping up diesel imports from the US this month as flows from Russia fell to 110kbpd on 1-15 Aug vs 204kbpd for all of July, Kpler data showed.
